Nissan Doubles Up and Sponsors
2016 SHOT Show New Product Center
NEWTOWN, Conn.— The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that global auto maker Nissan has agreed to sign on as the official sponsor of the 2016 SHOT Show New Product Center. A leading maker of cars, trucks, SUVs and vans for the consumer and commercial markets, Nissan has its North American headquarters located Franklin, Tennessee. This is the second sponsorship Nissan will provide to the 2016 SHOT Show. The company recently signed as the Official Sponsor of the show’s Press Room, a position it’s held for the previous two years.
“What an exciting thing it is to have Nissan sponsor two such important elements of the 2016 SHOT Show,” said Chris Tatulli, NSSF Director, Exhibit and Sponsorship Sales. “The addition of its sponsorship to the greatly expanded New Product Center underscores the importance of the Center and its ability to draw exhibitors, media members and buyers together to efficiently promote the best and most exciting new products our industry will see this year.”
“Sponsoring the New Product Center and proudly displaying our new product puts us in good company among some of the most inventive and ground breaking companies in the industry,” said Fred Diaz, division vice president and general manager, North America Trucks and Light Commercial Vehicles, Nissan North America, Inc. “What better opportunity for us to support the industry that supports us than by encouraging the innovative products they introduce in this very special venue.”
As part of its sponsorship to the New Product Center, Nissan will also be holding an invitation-only breakfast for selected media members in the New Product Center on Wednesday, January 20, from 7:00 to 8:30 a.m., prior to the show opening that day.
The 2016 SHOT Show New Products Center is a pivotal location for displaying the latest merchandise being debuted at the show. Positioned prominently on the main SHOT Show floor, more than 80 percent of show attendees visit the Center, which serves as a gathering place for buyers and media who have little time to walk the show’s 12 miles of aisles but need to learn about essential merchandise being introduced. Products in the Center are displayed with barcoded information containing their company name and booth number for follow-up by attendees, who are provided a complimentary scanner upon entering the area. Last year, more than 400 products were on display in the Center, receiving more than 32,000 barcode scans.
The 2016 Shooting Hunting Outdoor Trade Show—SHOT Show—is owned and operated by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. A trade-only event for firearms industry professionals, the 2016 SHOT will take place Jan. 19-22, at the Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. Registration for exhibitors, buyers, law enforcement members and media members is now open. For more information or to register to attend, visit www.shotshow.org.
