First Shots Seminars in Washington State (and Elsewhere)

A reader comment from the previous post ("An Introduction to Handgun Shooting") asks about First Shots opportunities in Washington State. Anyone interested in participating in a First Shots seminar anywhere nationwide should check the calender of seminars on the First Shots Web site or on the First Shots Facebook page.

In Washington State, there is a scheduled First Shots seminar on Saturday, May 2, at Tri-Cities Shooting Association Rattle Snake Mountain Shooting Range, Milepost 7.75 SR 225, Benton City, WA 99320; 509-545-1169.

Also, Sharp Shooting Indoor Range hosts several First Shots seminars a year, though none are scheduled at this time. Sharp Shooting is located at N. 1200 Freya, Spokane, WA 99202; 509-535-4444.

New shooters should keep in mind that while the First Shots seminars provide an excellent way to get started, it's not necessary to wait for a seminar to come to you. Shooting ranges always welcome newcomers. You can give shooting a try right away by contacting a shooting range near you. NSSF's handy www.wheretoshoot.org Web site allows visitors to search for ranges by location and type of interest (handgun, shotgun, rifle), or use your Yellow Pages.
