Customer Relations Expert Hank Yacek
Joins NSSF’s Retail Advisory Council
NEWTOWN, Conn.—The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Hank Yacek has joined its Retail Advisory Council.
Yacek has nearly a quarter-century of industry expertise. His career has included a number of roles, ranging from warehousing to owning his own retail establishment. In 2011, Yacek joined AcuSport, one of the country’s leading distributors of firearms, ammunition and shooting sports goods, as its Director of Retail Development/Business Consultant. In that capacity he leads The Edge, AcuSport’s training and management program that works with independent retailers solutions to create winning customer experience in their stores.
“We are thrilled to have Hank join our Retail Advisory Council,” said Patrick Shay, NSSF Director, Retail Development. “His hands-on, in-the-field approach to creating retail solutions that drive customers back to stores time and again means he brings a unique insights to our group of experts. That’s something from which both the Council and our member retailers will greatly benefit.”
“In the world of modern retail, it has never been more important for retailers to stay on top of—and hopefully, at times, get in front of—retail trends and stay relevant to the consumer,” commented Yacek. “ Retail is no longer a simple ‘buy it today, sell it tomorrow’ marketplace. Without insights into how consumers are engaging with retail on all fronts, our industry can fall off pace from what consumers are demanding. By joining the Retail Advisory Council I hope to help bring some of that ‘at consumer level’ perspective to the group so that we can help explore and develop that next generation of retail within our industry.”
NSSF’s Retail Advisory Council is comprised of 10 highly regarded industry retail professionals. They work to add their combined knowledge banks to the input of NSSF’s members and create resources and solutions that improve how today’s firearms retailers do business.
