Boy Scouts of America Sponsors 2017 NSSF Industry Summit at the Bronze Level
NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that the Boy Scouts of America has agreed to sponsor the 2017 Industry Summit at the Bronze level. One of the nation’s largest values-based youth development organizations, the Boy Scouts of America traces its history back more than a century.
“We are always so pleased to partner with the Boy Scouts of America,” said Melissa Schilling, NSSF Director, Exhibitions and Conferences. “Its model for keeping our country’s young men interested and active in the outdoors, especially the shooting sports, is one to be respected, and that alone is a significant contribution to this year’s Summit.”
“As the nation’s leading organization that brings outdoor adventures to life for millions of young people, we greatly appreciate the support that NSSF and the shooting sports industry offer our local councils so they can provide responsible training and educational programs for youth in their communities. Supporting the NSSF Industry Summit is just our way of doing a good turn,” stated Jay Stuart, Boy Scouts of America’s National Sales Director.
Taking place June 5-7 in Austin, Texas, the NSSF Industry Summit is the premier forum for leaders in the firearms industry, providing a platform for information and idea exchange. Attendees to the annual event represent every sector of the firearms industry, including retailers, manufacturers, distributors, range owners, conservation community members, state wildlife agency staff and marketing and public relations professionals.
