AIRSCHOTT is Newest Bronze Sponsor of Firearms Industry Compliance Conference
NEWTOWN, Conn. — Orchid Advisors, the firearm industry’s trusted compliance and operations experts, and the National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the firearms industry’s trade association, are pleased to announce that AIRSCHOTT, Inc., has agreed to sponsor the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference (FICC) at the Bronze level. With primary offices in Atlanta, Baltimore and Washington, D.C., AIRSCHOTT is a leading expert in international and domestic transportation services, including custom brokerages, warehousing and distribution, custom bonds and high-value, fragile and Hazmat shipment handling, among others.
“The firearms trade is a global business, and navigating domestic and international borders requires expert assistance,” said Jon Rydberg, CEO of Orchid Advisors.
“AIRSCHOTT’s role in this year conference provides a distinct offering for FFLs that need logistics and customs knowledge.”
“Our FFLs and manufacturers understand that expanding their customer reach requires creative thinking and seeking new markets,” said Larry Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “AIRSCHOTT’s ability to connect the dots and get product from point A to point B makes it an invaluable resource for industry members. We’re excited to have them as a Bronze sponsor of the FICC.”
“This year, it is particularly important that firearms and ammunition importers and exporters pay attention to the changes happening as the integration of the ACE platform proceeds with BATFE, DDTC and the other PGAs,” said Robert Schott, AIRSCHOTT’s President. “From this year on, you won’t be doing business the way you did in the past — the electronic age has finally descended upon the regulatory agencies under which we operate. Importers, exporters and their supply chain providers must be out in front of these changes or risk being left behind.”
Co-hosted by Orchid Advisors and NSSF, the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference will take place May 2-4 in Atlanta, Georgia. The conference theme is highly focused on the future — where regulations are headed, how new developments in product research and development affect Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), and what processes and technologies FFLs are using to significantly improve their business. Additionally, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) will provide focused sessions throughout the conference, offering FFLs an opportunity to interact, ask questions and focus on proactive compliance. In addition to three learning tracks to choose from during the conference, attendees can also take part in one of two pre-conference workshops on May 2. One workshop will cover firearms industry technology, while the other will take an in-depth look at federal firearms regulations.
Seating is limited for this conference and it will sell out, so industry members are encouraged to register now. To learn more about the 2016 Firearms Industry Compliance Conference, click here. To register and reserve your seat, click here.
