Aguila Ammunition Signs as Bronze Sponsor of 2017 Rimfire Challenge Program

Aguila AmmunitionNEWTOWN, Conn.—The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for America’s firearms industry, is pleased to announce that Aguila Ammunition is the newest Bronze sponsor of the 2017 Rimfire Challenge Rifle Program. Producing high-quality rifle, pistol and shotgun ammunition for more than 50 years, Aguila specializes in high-quality, .22 rimfire ammunition manufactured using Eley technology.

Now in its fourth year as an NSSF program, the Rimfire Challenge provides a way for novice shooters to experience their first competitions via a family-friendly and highly supportive atmosphere. Matches utilize a two-gun format of .22 LR handguns and rifles, making the Rimfire Challenge an economical sport for new competitors. Focusing on both safety and fun, the competitions are open to all ages and skill levels, with participation by recreational shooters new to competition specifically encouraged. The 2017 Rimfire Challenge World Championship is the culminating event following the program’s year-round, nationwide competitions at the local and regional levels, and will take place Oct. 13-15. For the second year in a row, the match will be hosted by the Cavern Cove Rimfire shooting facility in Woodville, Alabama. Registration will open later this summer.
