2017 Press Room Sponsor Carhartt to Hold ‘Pub Talk’ for Outdoor Media
NEWTOWN, Conn.—Carhartt, title sponsor of the 2017 SHOT Show Press Room, has announced that it will be holding a special “Pub Talk” press conference for all members of the outdoor press attending the show. The event, which will begin promptly at 4:00 p.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, will include complimentary beer, wine and snacks for media members in attendance.
“This press conference provides media members with the perfect opportunity to experience Carhartt in an authentic manner,” said Tim Humes, Senior Brand Manager of Rugged Outdoors at Carhartt. “The ‘Pub Talk’ format veers slightly from the traditional press conference, in that it will enable media to interact with members of the Carhartt team and learn about our latest products, all while enjoying a cold beverage. We look forward to sharing the story of our latest hunting gear with members of the outdoor media.”
“Our outdoor media professionals should have a great time at this event,” said Dave Jeannette, NSSF Senior Director, Sales. “It’s the perfect opportunity to improve their connection with products they’ve spent a lifetime using and better know the company behind them. We are very thankful to Carhartt for its Press Room sponsorship. This is a level of support our working press at the show both needs and deserves.”
The SHOT Show Press Room, located on the third floor of the Venetian in the Murano Ballroom, next the NSSF Members Lounge and adjacent to the NEXT 2.0 Pavilion of new exhibitors, is an expansive working area accessible only to working members of the outdoor press credentialed to attend the show. The space provides a large working press area, computer and printer workstations, complimentary Wi-Fi, a networking lounge, exhibitor press material resources and other accommodations that help the media produce and file stories during the show. The Press Room is open to media members registered to attend the show. The full Press Room schedule of open hours is available here.
The 2017 SHOT Show, a trade-only show for professionals in the firearms industry, takes place January 17-20 at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show will host more than 1,600 exhibitors on its primary show floors, and more than 100 new exhibitors in its NEXT Pavilion. More than 2,400 outdoor media members attend the show each year, providing coverage in newspaper, magazine, web, radio, television and social media platforms.
