How do I use my NSSF Prescription Discount Card?
Present your NSSF Prescription Discount Card with your prescriptions to the pharmacy. The card is already activated and ready to use and contains all the information the pharmacist needs to process the claim. Obtaining savings is simple with no age limits, income requirements, membership fees, or waiting periods.
What if I have insurance?
The NSSF Prescription Discount Card cannot be used in combination with any private insurance or 3rd party insurance such as Medicare and/or Medicaid.
But you can use the card in place of insurance if:
- The drug isn’t covered by your insurance or is excluded from coverage
- Your insurance plan has no drug coverage
- You have a high drug deductible plan
- The card offers a better price than your copay
- You are in the Medicare Part D donut hole
Can I use this card in combination with my insurance?
This card is not valid in combination with other insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid or any state or federal prescription insurance. The card can be used if you decide not to use your government-sponsored drug plan for your purchase.
