2009 Shooting Sports Summit Format: This year's summit is a "roll up your sleeves, get down to business" working session. Every attendee will have an opportunity to share his or her ideas by participating in a series of smaller, hands-on roundtable discussions comprised of different industry segments. The roundtables will be facilitated by industry leaders who have had great success in launching programs, events, services or products relating to increasing hunting and target shooting participation. The focus of these discussions will be elements of success and the sharing of ideas for continued progress. Synchronizing Our Focus ... Roundtable discussions will focus on the goal of increasing hunting and target shooting participation by 20% in the next five years. Seated at each table will be members of the shooting industry coming together and working side-by-side on comprehensive, sustained strategies for addressing the most important issues facing our industry today. Those issues include:
A New World of Social Media Marketing ... Blogs, podcasts, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace ... as an industry we must embrace these new social influencers and put them to work for us in building participation and interest in the shooting sports. The key is to find the right mix in using these emerging technologies - good thing there are experts that can show us exactly how to accomplish this. The 2009 Shooting Sports Summit will present award-winning authors and well known experts who will shed valuable light on these topics. |
