NEWTOWN, Conn. -- Deb Kenney, managing director, human resources and administration for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), has earned her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
The certification, awarded by the HR Certification Institute, signifies that Kenney possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the field.
The exam, which has a pass rate of only 53 percent, is divided into six functional areas: Strategic Management, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Total Rewards, Employee and Labor Relations and Risk Management.
"By receiving this certification, Deb has shown that she has a vast breadth and depth of knowledge in all HR disciplines," said NSSF President and CEO Steve Sanetti. "We're fortunate to have someone as professional, dedicated and compassionate as Deb in the executive HR role here at NSSF."
The HR Certification Institute is the credentialing body for human resource professionals and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world's largest organization dedicated exclusively to the human resource profession.
