New Economic Impact Report Released

Hunting in America: An Economic Force for Conservation notes that U.S. hunting-related spending grew by 55 percent in 2011, adding $87 billion to the nation's economy and supporting more than 680,000 jobs nationally. "The major growth in spending by hunters is good news for businesses throughout the country, particularly small businesses in rural areas," said NSSF President Steve Sanetti. The report provides information on more than 40 categories, including number of hunters, retail sales, taxes and jobs.
