Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute Announces New Slate of Officers
NEWTOWN, CONN. -- The Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers Institute (SAAMI), an association of the leading manufacturers of firearms, ammunition and components, elected new officers at its recent annual meeting.
Steve Sanetti was elected President, Nancy Coburn, Treasurer, and Larry Keane, Secretary (all three are National Shooting Sports Foundation executives). Jeff Reh, Vice President and General Counsel of Beretta USA, was named Chairman of the Board, and ATK President Mark DeYoung will serve as Vice Chairman.
SAAMI was founded in 1926 at the request of the federal government, and is charged with creating and publishing industry standards for safety, interchangeability, and reliability, and with promoting safe and responsible firearms use.
