The National Shooting Sports Foundation and other key organizations are working to ensure a promising future for hunting and recreational shooting.
With the support of a NSSF three-year "challenge grant," IHEA has created an online hunter education course. Twenty-seven
states now use this online system. NSSF also supports the handbook that is distributed to all hunter education graduates, The Hunter's Handbook

The purpose of this alliance is to promote responsible and accurate communications regarding chronic wasting disease (CWD) and to support strategies that effectively control CWD to minimize its impact on wild, free-ranging deer and elk populations.
To help minimize mis-information about the disease, NSSF funded a Q & A brochure and video program for the alliance.
The U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance Foundation protects and defends America's wildlife conservation programs and provides direct lobbying
and grassroots coalition support to protect and advance the rights of sportsmen and scientific wildlife management professionals. As a member
of the ballot initiatives coalition of the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance, the National Shooting Sports Foundation works to prevent legislation that would be detrimental to hunting and the target shooting sports.
NSSF is also a supporter of the Trailblazer Adventure Program a ground-breaking introductory outdoor program developed for families and launched by the U.S. Sportsmen's Alliance.
This organization presents recommendations to the White House on priority issues for wildlife and conservation. The National Shooting Sports Foundation focuses its involvement on recruitment, retention and access issues.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation was among the original sponsors and continues its support of this recruitment program that offers outdoor skills workshops to women throughout North America
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a STEP OUTSIDE partner and founder of The Pass It On - Outdoor Mentors Program designed to "pass on" an interest in our outdoor heritage to a new generation of participants.
