Job Summary: 

Description:
The business analyst role will assist in the execution of responsibilities including solving operational problems, creation of business processes, development of strategic plans, and putting-in-place organizational measurement and tracking. The position will report to the VP of strategic planning. Strategic planning serves as an enabler for the entire organization, providing services and concrete execution assistance to help operating functions (ranging from sales, to supply chain, to shop floor) improve. In this way, the business analyst role will be similar to that of an entry-level management consulting position. Responsibilities include: •Structuring and completing analyses and research to solve operational problems, put-in-place business processes, develop growth strategies, or conduct other initiatives of the strategic planning team •Coordination/facilitation of cross-functional teams including creation of status updates and management of detailed work plans •Creating detailed specifications for, assisting in creation of, and validating reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs) for corporate and functional (e.g., supply chain) use •Creating business communications documents (including recommendations, strategic/work plans, procedural documents) in PowerPoint/Word that are well-structured and fact-based •Executing work plans based upon project timelines and meeting all deliverable deadlines with excellent quality end products Desired Qualifications/Experience/Skills Advanced proficiency with analytical tools such as Excel and Access, programming, or statistics programs Strong desire to want to learn about and develop competency in addressing a range of business issues/problems across a broad set of functions An “A” type personality: passionate and high energy Creative problem solving skills, and the capability to get things done

Education/Training Requirements:
At least a BS in mechanical, electrical, computer science or industrial engineering or other highly-analytic, problem-solving field
