Family Friendly Vegas
Short
The
entertainment capital of the world offers an amazing array
of family attractions
Last
year, the National Shooting Sports Foundation's (NSSF)
SHOT Show ® in Orlando may have been in visiting distance of Mickey
Mouse and his friends, but Las Vegas, surprising to many, features
a wide variety of fun places that kids, spouses and you can go
to have a great time.
In fact,
many of those attractions are complimentary and open for much,
if not all, of the day. You can find a list of them
at SHOT
on a Dime at the SHOT Show ® Web site.
-
Witness the animatronics of statues acting out the story
of the fall of Atlantis at Caesars Hotel and Casino, where
fountains, lasers, fire, steam and sound effects add to the
excitement of the action. And there's no charge!
-
The
Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens presents a kaleidoscope
for your senses, 24 hours a day, at no charge!
-
Watch and rate new television shows at CBS Television City
at the MGM Grand. Use touch-screen computers to help offer
audience reactions. The screenings go on from 10 a.m. to
10 p.m., and the experience doesn't cost anything!
-
Watch
expert Cuban cigar makers craft fine Don Pablo cigars at the
Don Pablo Cigar Factory, or take the complimentary self-guided
tour of Ethel M Chocolates Factory and Cactus Garden in nearby
Henderson.
-
See thousands of fountains dance to music at the Bellagio,
visit the Las Vegas Club Sports Hall of Fame or soak up the
Fremont Street Experience, where you may encounter a concert
or another special event. They are all gratis.
-
View some of the 180 murals that were created to celebrate
the city's centennial. The scenes range from familiar
icons to historical events. You can view every one at
no charge!
- Dining,
too, will fit the family's finances, and the choices are almost
uncountable.

Exhibitors, Let Us Help Promote Your Promotion
Short
Do
you have a celebrity coming to your booth, to a press function
or
to another SHOT Show ® event? Let us know
One
of the greatest techniques to get traffic to your booth, the media
to press conferences and the desired throng to other planned SHOT
Show-related events is to bring in a celebrity. They
come in all shapes and sizes, from petite Olympic shooting medalists
to giant National Basketball Association all-stars.
Let
us know if you are planning to have such a person of interest making
a personal appearance at the SHOT Show. We are keeping
a file on this, and we will help publicize your promotion. Tell
us WHO, WHEN and WHERE (SPONSOR and LOCATION).
Look for the Exhibitor Manual in June
Short
Online guide addresses virtually every question that might come up

The
popular SHOT Show ® Exhibitor Manual, which appears exclusively online
at the SHOT Show ® Web site, is scheduled to be posted in June. Be
sure to check the Web site.
Already
online are the Exhibitor
Display Rules and Regulations.
Storing Your Booth in Vegas May Save You Big Bucks
Short
If you are going to exhibit in 2011, too, this may be a viable option
When
the 2010 show ends, it's time to break down the booth
and prepare it for shipping to the next site. If that next
site is your headquarters, where the booth will be stored until
the next SHOT Show, then storing your exhibit in Las Vegas may
be a very smart option.
NSSF,
in partnership with Freeman, is developing a plan that promises
to offer exhibitors a significant savings by providing local storage. This
will eliminate the round-trip shipping charges otherwise incurred.
Additional information on this program will appear in the Exhibitor
Manual, to be posted at www.shotshow.org next
month!
