LIFETIME RETAIL SALES VALUE FROM NEWLY RECRUITED HUNTERS & TARGET SHOOTERS

What is a hunter or a target shooter worth to the nation's economy over the course of his or her lifetime?

Well according to the new report released by the NSSF, a hunter will spend about $96,017 over his or her lifetime with approximately $17,726 of that on equipment alone! Target shooters will spend even more!

This report examines how much a typical hunter and target shooter is expected to spend on their sports, including travel and related items, as well as on equipment throughout their lifetime.

The report was prepared by Southwick Associates - a leading economic research firm specializing in the outdoor industry. To capture the lifetime value, data was extracted from the National Survey of Fishing, Hunting and Wildlife-Associated Recreation. Annual participation rates and annual expenditures were also derived using research from HunterSurvey.com.

The numbers speak volumes not only to the outdoor industry, but also to politicians and decision-makers at all levels.

A must have report for anyone who needs to demonstrate the awesome economic force behind hunters and shooters.
