Governor Signs Legislation to Fix Major Gaff in N.J. Gun-A-Month Law

As drafted and hastily signed into law by outgoing New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine, over NSSF's strenuous objection, New Jersey's one-gun-a-month legislation did not provide an exemption for federally licensed firearms retailers, who would be barred from purchasing inventory from distributors or manufacturers.

NSSF raised this problem in testimony before the Firearms and Advisory Task Force. As a result, corrective legislation has been signed into law.
