Joseph E. Vollmer of Plainfield, Ill., is a 53-year Scouting veteran -- 37 years professionally. Vollmer's experience includes serving as associate regional director/program for Boy Scouts of America and Scout executive for the Sagamore Council in Kokomo, Ind., and the Piankeshaw Council in Danville, Ill. Other experience includes serving Scouting in Quincy, Ill.-Indianapolis, Ind.-Muncie, Ind., 13 National Camp School staffs (two as camp director) and Eagle Scout from Belleville, Ill. As a Scouting volunteer, Vollmer is currently registered as associate advisor of Shooting Sports Crew 2532. He has a B.S. in recreation and education from Southern Illinois University.
Jim and his wife Barbara (also a shooting enthusiast) have four children and eight grandchildren. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and shooting.
