Rob Sexton

Rob Sexton

Rob Sexton joined the staff of the US Sportsmen's Alliance (USSA) in 1995. Then the WLFA, Rob served in the state services department, which handles legislation. Over the past thirteen years Rob has risen through the ranks coordinating the organization's political strategies along the way. During his tenure with the USSA, sportsmen have achieved some of their greatest victories. Three specific areas stand out:

Dove hunting was legalized in Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin through campaigns coordinated by USSA. The organization also successfully rallied sportsmen in California, Rhode Island and Ohio to defeat bans on dove hunting.

Multiple attacks on bear hunting have been turned back including congressional legislation to ban the use of bait, an anti-hounding bill in California, and ballot issues in Alaska, Idaho, Maine, and Michigan. In 2003, USSA successful defended the opening of New Jersey's first bear hunt in decades. In 2004, it went to court to protect Maryland's first bear hunting season.

In 2005, USSA launched a campaign with the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the National Wild Turkey Federation to eliminate barriers that prevent hunters from introducing new people into the outdoor sports. Entitled Families Afield, the program has been successful across the country, and continues to grow.

Rob is a 20 year veteran of both elections and legislative campaigns.

Prior to joining the USSA staff, Rob served on staff for the Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives. He is a 1990 graduate of The Ohio State University. Rob is married with four children. An avid hunter and angler, Rob enjoys fishing on Lake Erie, and hunting turkeys, white tail deer, pheasant and doves.
