Melissa Schilling, Manager of Recruitment & Retention, has served NSSF for five years in a variety of roles. In her capacity, she manages a portfolio of foundation programs designed to increase hunting and shooting participation by partnering with industry, state and federal wildlife agencies, conservation groups and non-governmental organizations. She manages STEP OUTSIDE, the current "Best Practices in Hunting and Shooting Sports Recruitment & Retention" MSCG, the current "Issues Related to Hunting Access in the United States" MSCG and is also responsible for other high level programs such as the Hunting Heritage Partnership. She also served as a public relations specialist and coordinated public relations campaigns for all NSSF programs. Ms. Schilling is a graduate of Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, with a B.A. in public relations and multimedia communication.
