Joel Pedersen


Joel Pedersen

Joel Pedersen is a senior wildlife biologist with the National Wild Turkey Federation, a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of our hunting heritage. He has been with the NWTF since 1999. Joel is responsible for managing the NWTF's More Places to Hunt program, which strives to improve access to public and private lands for hunting and other recreational activities.

Prior to his work with the NWTF, Joel was a district biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Joel earned a B.S. in wildlife biology from the University of Nebraska-Kearney, and a M.S. in wildlife science from the University of Tennessee. He and his family make their home in Edgefield, SC.
