Paul Erhardt is a marketing/communications specialist with a combined 20 years experience in politics and business. He is the president of Erhardt & Associates, a strategic marketing and communications firm that focuses on the firearms and shooting sports market. He is also Political Director for MH Media, a nationally recognized leader in Republican political advertising and strategic consulting, where he works for McCain for President as part of the campaign's media team, Foxhole Productions.
An expert in the area of firearms, Erhardt is widely respected in the firearms industry having served as the Director of Public Relations for the National Shooting Sports Foundation and as Director of Marketing for New Hampshire based firearms manufacturer Sig Sauer. He currently consults for the United States Practical Shooting Association on marketing and media relations.
During his time with NSSF, Erhardt acted as an industry spokesman during the DC sniper incident leading the effort to educate the national media on firearms issues and industry positions. He also designed and drove a nationwide PR initiative supporting the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) and was honored by SEOPA for his efforts on the national PR effort on the economic impact of sportsman.
As Director of Marketing for New Hampshire based firearms manufacturer Sig Sauer, Erhardt led the effort to reposition the brand through the expansion of both traditional and new media efforts. His constant presence in a major online firearms community made him the most recognized firearms industry professional in the online world.
In the political arena Erhardt has served on the staffs of Republican elected officials including U.S. Senators Spence Abraham (MI), U.S. Senator Bill Roth (DE) and Pennsylvania Attorney General Ernie Preate. On the campaign side he held various positions on several campaigns including coordinating sportsmen outreach for the Clean Michigan Initiative, managing Jane Brady's successful bid for Delaware Attorney General and scheduling Gary Bauer's 2000 presidential bid. Paul also served on the national committee of Sportsmen for Fred Thompson.
