In 1995, Steve and Robin Ball opened Sharp Shooting Indoor Range & Gun Shop. Since that time, Robin has become involved in both the city and county crime prevention programs, the domestic violence issue in the community and the safe and legal use of firearms.
She is a certified firearms instructor for personal defense and home security and a Refuse to be a Victim™ Regional Counselor, a non-lethal safety awareness program through the National Rifle Association. Robin is also a certified Rape Prevention Instructor through Modern Warrior. She is the recipient the following national awards:
- 1999 Jay M Littlefield Volunteer of the Year
- 2003 Most Effective Instructor for Refuse to be a Victim
- 2005 Marion P. Hammer Woman of Distinction Award
Robin is on the Range Development Committee for the National Rifle Association and the Committee for National Association of Shooting Ranges with National Shooting Sports Foundation. She is one of the national spokespersons for Second Amendment Sisters and the National Rifle Association and has appeared on shows such a Jim Leher News Hours, the Nightly News with Tome Brokaw, and MSNBC. She has worked in New York with John Stossel on gun issues, in addition to many national debates and interviews regarding gun rights. Robin is the National Rifle Association's Election Volunteer Coordinator for the 5th Congressional District.
