2008 Shooting Sports Summit

NSSF's Shooting Sports Summit gathered leaders from throughout the shooting, hunting and outdoor industry as well as key leaders from fish and wildlife agencies and conservation organizations to address key challenges that face the future of hunting and the shooting sports.

During the two-day event, keynote speaker, former Arkansas Governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee spoke to a capacity-filled room of industry leaders about how hunting and the shooting sports foster a strong sense of personal responsibility and ethics in America's youth and supports a growing economy and a healthy environment.

The Summit closed out with attendees committed to taking action on key efforts to reach prospective new hunters and shooters to ensure that hunting and shooting traditions will be a lasting heritage passed on to future generations.
